About Me
I am an ex- Airport Firefighter and former Member of the New York Air National Guard 106th Rescue Wing. The unit featured in the Blockbuster movie "The Perfect Storm". I am currently following in my Father's footsteps and became a U.S. Army Warrant Officer. I was selected last year as a Helicopter pilot candidate. So Thank you to all of those who crossed their fingers for me. Since the Army does not recognize Air Force basic training I had to attend Army basic in Fort Benning GA. I then went on to attend the Warrant Officer Candidate school at Fort Rucker AL. A very interesting school that tests candidates ability to function in a fast paced high stress environment. I graduated WOC school and was apointed a Warrant Officer 1 (WO1). My next assignment was Bco 1st 145th Aviation Regement. Initial Entry Rotary Wing IERW. I am currently in the primary phase and recently soloed a TH-67 Helicopter also known as a civilian Bell 206 JetRanger on 19 Dec 2001.

The Story Behind My Site
One day as I was on a ramp patrol at Gabreski Airport I noticed a Bell 407 landing nearby. I went for a closer inspection and when I got up to it I instantly fell in love with the Helicopter. So much that I decided this was the Helicopter for my Super Scale Project. I did some research and found links on the web for Petroleum Helicopters in Louisiana. They are a multi-role helicopter operator with a major role of servicing oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. The Paint sceme is not only very unique but well known in the Helicopter Industry. My coice was then made to replicate this helicopter. I only know of two 407's at PHI, N406PH Pictured on my home page and N407PH. You will see that on my Pictures page. N407PH will be my subject or end result.

Others
When I started this project an email was made to George Blanchette, who's model was featured on the cover of Rotory Modeler Magazine. His model is the inspiration for my Scale Bell 407. George played a major role in many aspects of the construction through many hints and tips. In fact the most noticeable result of his research and help is the custom skids that I built from specs he had lent me. Thanks George.
